Kitchen design: Timeless modern revamp
Homeowners Lydia Kunicki and Robert Haggan fell in love with several aspects of the 80-year-old home they purchased five years ago in Toronto’s Bloor West neighbourhood: magnificent millwork, a private ravine setting and proximity to Lydia’s family. “But the place had been neglected and the kitchen was too small,” she says. A wall diving the tiny galley cooking space from the dining room impeded entertaining, and the lack of storage meant pots and pans had to be kept in the basement. “It was also really dark,” adds Lydia. “We knew right away that we wanted to blow it open to the view.” More…
